The Hayden Group sponsors the Synergos Series. The Synergos Series offers interesting guests, interesting speakers, business networking and brainstorming- all in an intimate setting that begins with wine tasting.
WHO: On June 26th, we meet representatives of three companies dedicated to social entrepreneurship. Is it possible to make money and do good at the same time? We welcome Jean Cheng of MonaVie, which supports the M.O.R.E. project that cares for disadvantaged children, single mothers, and impoverished young men in Brazil and around the world with profits from the sale of this delicious and healthful Acai Berry drink; James Sheppard of Vetrazzo, LLC, who manufactures (locally at fair wage and with full benefits) gorgeous countertops made of recycled glass. James Sheppard is a former strip mall developer who says he is doing penance by offering a sustainable alternative to granite and other quarried stone. He is also a founding member of the National Green Chamber of Commerce. Rounding out our panel will be Rachel Pearson, founder of Speesees, a children's clothing company whose products are 100% skal-certified organic, and manufactured in a factory that is certified sa8000 for social responsibility. Even the farmers who grow the cotton use biodynamic fuel for heat! Event Details
