SITUATION
KIVA was an early entrant into the enterprise-server market. Their product deployed business-critical applications over the internet. They needed a name, a brand positioning, a logo and a suite of materials to launch both the company and the product.
CHALLENGE
The KIVA Enterprise Server was a high-ticket item. The brand had to convey the value of the product a well as the stability of the company.
SOLUTION
We worked hand-in-hand with KIVA’s PR firm to develop the core positioning and presentations to investors and analysts. We collaborated on name development, and designed the logo, brochure and packaging. The logo represents the metamorphosis of data through the server—making it web-ready.
RESULTS
18 Months after the KIVA brand was launched, the company was acquired by Netscape, who for some time kept the name “KIVA Enterprise Server.”
