Jean is an accomplished and award-winning Bay Area PR professional with ten years of experience launching and promoting category-creating products and companies.  After nearly 10 years in IR and PR agencies developing short and long-term PR programs for a wide variety of B to B and B to C technology, healthcare and life sciences companies, Jean established The Jean Effect, which she has operated for 8 years.

Jean is particularly energized by start-up and early stage companies.  During the course of her career she worked with directly with C-level executives at more than fifty VC-backed, pre-IPO and/or newly public companies, to translate corporate vision and objectives into media outreach programs that drive product sales, achieve category disruption or dominance, introduce or reinforce brand attributes, and create superior product positioning among influencers and target customer segments.  Jean has also held director-level positions within several publicly-traded enterprise software companies where her corporate communications contributions led to on-target media coverage that drove sales for specific verticals (financial services, transportation, healthcare) and resulted in faster sales cycles.

Jean is a nimble, savvy and enthusiastic communications strategist with a track record of securing on-target media coverage.
